Halloween, etc.

Standard

i have to say it’s been a bit difficult to think of halloweens that could have been.  one of the things i looked forward to quite a bit, when imagining having a kiddo, was all the fun things we could have done at holiday times and special occasions.  halloween is my favourite, so of course when we were contemplating surrogacy, i thought often of babies in costumes out trick-or-treating.  and easter egg hunts and christmas mornings and birthdays and whatever other fun activities we could think of…

even early on in the blog i had posted some cute kids in costumes…

oh well… i am sure this will fade eventually, and i am sure we aren’t feeling it as acutely as others who had wanted for longer and tried for longer.

that’s it, just had to lament for a sec.  carry on 🙂

About namaskarambaby

We are a BC couple who are about to start the process of having a baby using a gestational surrogate in India. We would like to share the process, so the steps will be clearly laid out for other couples who would like to know about this journey, as they may be in a similar situation. We also will likely stay anonymous, as this is a bit of a private process, and we are so early on in the process, that we aren't even sure it's going to work. "Namaskaram" is a greeting in Hindi (the official language of India), which is appropriate for people of all ages... I guess it's similar to Namaste, which is commonly used in the yoga community. This is our first blog, so bear with us. Stay tuned.

  1. This is my first year back on Facebook in about 4 years and I have to say, even though I like to think I’m “good” as far as being satisfied as a child-free woman, seeing so many adorable tots on my newsfeed made my uterus feel a bit . . . empty. [Sigh.] But like you said: “Carry on.” This too shall pass.

    Feliz Dia de los Muertos!
